Major Projects | Works under the Department of Architecture, Govt. of Bangladesh (GOB) § Involved in Architectural Design & Supervision for the 16 TTC (Technical Training Center), 7 new TTC & 5 TTC FOR WOMEN of Govt. of Bangladesh under Ministry of Labour & Manpower in 16 old districts, 7 new districts and in 5 districts for women specially in Bangladesh. Main responsibility was preparing the design, master plans, then preparing the final working drawings and details, supervising Implementation, Hold meetings with the client and incorporate client’s comments, in the working drawings during the progress of works. The Project was GOB Funded. Project was implemented in 2000 to 2006. § Involved in Designing RAB-11 head quarter at Narayanganj. This was the first of RAB head quarter constructed outside Dhaka City that time in 2004 to 2005. Main responsibility was preparing the design, master plans, then preparing the final working drawings and details, supervising Implementation, Hold meetings with the client and incorporate client’s comments. Different Works of Govt. of Bangladesh (GOB) as Consultant § Working as Team Leader in Design Consultancy for the Project “Establishment of Inland Container River Port at Ashuganj” for STHAPONA with DPC Group of Consultants (DPCG) which is the JV member of TCE-DPCG JV. This Project working as local sub consultant of TATA Engineering Consultants of INDIA. § Involved in finishing of 12-storied Headquarters Building for Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) at Agargaon, Dhaka under Engineers Consultants Bangladesh Ltd. (ECBL) during 1998 – 1999. Responsibility was to Supervise the works especially Banquet Hall/Auditorium finishing. A World Bank Financed Project. The project completed in February 1998. § Central Mosque for Bangladesh Army at Dhaka Cantonment (design implementation), Dhaka, funded by GOB. Preparing master plan, architectural presentation designs hold meetings with the client, preparing final working drawings with details for building and interior decoration supervising the Construction Work during Phase-1. The diameter of this mosque main prayer hall is 43.5m (142 feet) without any intermediate column which accommodates 5000 persons at a time to pray inside the hall. Total capacity of the complex is 7000 persons. Design was completed in February 2000. Construction except the Minaret was completed in March 2002 § Head Quarter Complex of Non-formal Education Directorate (NFED) at Mohakhali, Dhaka, under PMED by GOB. Includes 10 storied Office building and 5 storied Dormitory building. Preparing architectural presentation drawings, designs, interior design and decorations, master plans, then preparing the final working drawings and details, supervising Implementation, Hold meetings with the client and incorporate client’s comments, in the working drawings during the progress of works. The Project was ADB financed project. Design was completed in July 1999 – December 1999. § 8-Storied Building for Bangladesh Bank at Rangpur. Plinth area is 5000 sq m. Design work was performed (May 1996–October 1996). BRTC (BUET) was top supervisor appointed by the Bank. Design was checked by BRTC. 1st Phase construction up to 4th floor completed in March 2008. Also involved for preparing tender document following PPR 2003. § Urban Primary Health Care Project (UPHCP) for 4 (four) City corporations namely Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna and Rajshahi City Corporations of Bangladesh, funded by ADB, UNFPA, NDF & GOB. Hold meetings with the client and incorporate client’s comments, if any, in the working drawings even during progress of the works. Working full time for the project, defining the concept of the Health service, holding series of meetings with the ADB personnel, PIU’s and other consultants of the project to determine the service packages which may be delivered by each of the Primary Health Care Centers (PHC), defining the functions of each health center, functional flow, after thoroughly surveying some existing health centers giving the similar kind of health services. Monitoring the total survey work in four-city corporation’s areas and preparing the inception report for UPHC Project. Preparing Preliminary designs, justifying them in meetings and developing the preliminary designs. Preparation of Architects brief establishing design conditions and standards. Design along with its interiors with respect to the challenge of providing health services of international standards and Implementation in a small scale of 4 (Four) Storied Maternity Centers, Comprehensive Reproductive Health Care Centers (CRHCC) in 4 (Four) City Corporations of Bangladesh. Defining needs and determining Functions and Program outline for the CRHCCs after Series of meetings and Discussions with the PIU (Project Implementation Unit) and the Project Personnel. § Bangladesh Open University Main Complex at Gazipur including Media Center having audio-visual studio & TV Transmission Tower, elevated walk way , internal & approach roads, box culvert, VC’s Office, Administration & Registration Building, Library Building, School of Studies, Printing, Publications & Distribution Building at Main Complex and Regional Resource Centre Buildings at 10 different locations of Bangladesh. ADB financed project. Design work completed 1997. Construction completed in December 1998. Hospitality Services, International Hotels, apartments, Villas, Offices, Industries § Involved in Architecture design, Interior design & decoration, fit outs to supervise with project management and coordination work as project architect for the International Star Hotels operated by different international operators group in different parts of Bangladesh especially in Dhaka, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar and Sylhet under Sthapona & Partners, BSA, Thailand and KUPPSS-STHAPONA Collaboration, namely the following : a. 29 Storied Residential Hotel Building with two basement – MOVENPICK Hotel, Khulna (220 rooms) – International 5 star 29 Storied Tower Hotel in Bangladesh (construction started 2017, target of completion 2022) for AHYAN GROUP. b. 14 Storied Residential Service Apartment Complex along with Shopping Mall on 50 Bigha Land – MOVENPICK LIVING, Dhaka, (360 rooms) – 5 Star Hotel & Service Apartment in Bangladesh (On going design level) for Bashundhara Group. c. 22 Storied Residential Hotel Complex – HOLIDAY INN DHAKA CITY CENTRE (HIDCC), Dhaka, Bangladesh (186 rooms) – 3 Star Hotel for IHG (Intercontinental Hotel Group). (2014 to till date, targeted operation in 2019) d. Le Meridien-Dhaka (304 rooms) 5 STAR Flagship Hotel for Starwood. (2011 to 2014, operation from 2016). Involved in Architecture Space Planning and site coordination with BSA, Thailand. e. RAINTREE HOTEL (UNO-Mirage) a 3 STAR boutique hotel (52 rooms) for Hotel Corp International at Dhaka (2013 to 2015, under operation from 2017). It was named later RAINTREE HOTEL. f. Grand Sylhet Apart Hotel & Resort (236 rms) for Global Asset Ltd. (2012/13, ongoing, will be operated in the name of MOVENPICK Sylhet). g. Involved in Architecture space planning & Interior Design, Site coordination in the Siam Boutique Hotel at Pataya, Thailand under BSA of Bangkok with Architect Kwanchai Phalajivin. h. 14 Storied Residential Building with Basement on 22 Katha land – Coral Reef KHANBARI Service Apartments at Khanbari, Choumuhoni, Agrabad, Chittagong. The Project is completed in 2019. i. 14 Storied Residential Apartment with Basement on 18 Katha land – “PURBITA” for Coral Reef Properties Ltd. at Cox’s Bazar. j. HRC-Platinum Grand– 50 rooms 3 Star boutique hotel extension of existing Platinum Suites at Banani, Dhaka for Sheltech Group. (The Project started in 2013, completed and in operation from 2016) k. Platinum Residence – 3 STAR boutique hotel at Uttara, Dhaka for Sheltech Group. (Completed and in operation from 2013). l. 10 Storied Residential Apartment for Meghbrishti Developers Ltd. at Bashundhara Residential Area, Dhaka. The Project completed in 2019. m. 15 Storied Commercial Tower “BSA PLAZA” at Comilla with shopping complex and Cineplex an ICONIC structure with International look and mood of the Interior. This project construction started 2019 and scheduled to be completed in 2021. n. 10 Storied Commercial cum Residential Apartment for KHABARBARI Ltd. at Pabna. The Project in near to completion by 2020. o. G+1B+9=10 Storied Residential Apartment for Monihar Developers Ltd. at 45/2 Shantinagar, Dhaka. The Project is in design phase. p. G+8=9 Storied Residential Apartment for NAVANA at 48 Agrabad, Chittagong. q. Redesign of Residential Resort facilities in Ashulia Fantasy Kingdom and redesign of the High end Cottages for CONCORD at Ashulia, Dhaka. r. 14 Storied CONDOMINIUM – Residential Complex – first ever designed in Dhaka with International design Partners KUPPSS COLABORATION – Thailand on 73 Katha land including 4 Towers with all the modern amenities at Mazar Road, Dhaka. The Project completed in 2016. § In-charge as project director for the project management in the 1000 apartments’ building in Dubai, UAE, responsible for the preparation of Interior Design, working drawings and details for the construction of 1000 Kitchen Cabinets in all the 1000 apartments and also for the interiors of public area of the G+3+25 storied Building project named ‘Silicon Gates-1’ in Silicon Oasis, Dubai, UAE. Team Leader of the design team and was responsible for the meeting and coordination with the client and the contractor on behalf of Shing Sung, Korea as Project Director of the Contractor. Also in-charge for the Interior Design of ceiling works, fit-out details and execution of the work for 1000 nos. apartment’s room along with kitchen areas. § Involved in design, Interior design & decoration, supervision of the project & implementation as project coordinator for the 3 storied large Palace for Bashundhara group at Bashundhara in Dhaka with a built area of 3200 sqm on 27 acres of land. This villa consists of all modern facilities with indoor and outdoor games, swimming pool, wave pool, KOI pond, GYM with total BMS and modern high-tech building automation system with lighting design, wooden fit outs & panelling along with medallions within a contemporary classical style of Californian architecture done by BSA, Thailand. Responsibility was under PMC and coordination. § Preparation of design and working drawings along with interiors for different Villas and residential buildings in Dubai as Senior Architect. Responsible for coordination with the Client, meeting and setting the design needs and decisions for the Klick Engineering Consultants. § Responsible for building design, Interior design and working drawings/details and Supervising the project for 14 storied three star hotel complex and shopping tower – “Gold Palace” at 3 New Baily Road, Dhaka. This was a 102 bed hotel at the city centre of Dhaka and very close to CBD. This is designed to serve the need for residential facility for local people and foreign business people who comes to Dhaka for business purpose but needs to stay comfortably close to business district. Later it converted into apartments and mixed use development and completed on 2011. § Responsible for Interior design, working drawings/ details and involved in supervision and project management up to completion for interiors of the following projects : a. Large Wine Cellar with steel structure fabrication at Azman in UAE with 2000 sqm area. b. Construction of Factory building for INTERFAB Ltd. At Gazipur. Total area of 2200 sqm. Per floor constructed with steel structure. c. Construction of Factory building for STYLECRAFT Fashions Ltd. At Joydevpur. Total area of 2500 sqm. Per floor Constructed with steel structure. d. Construction of Factory building for Medlar Fashions Ltd. of Singha Group for their garments factory at Ashulia. Total area of 4000 sqm. Constructed with steel structure. e. 700 seat Auditorium and public hall for Lged Head Quarters at Sher-e-bangla Nagar, Agargaon, Dhaka responsible for the completion part of top floor and the finishing. f. Interior design and office decoration for the Nitol Insurance of Nitol Group at Motijheel City Center covering 4,500 sft/ 430 sqm floor area. The office conceives 30 pax workstations, board meeting room for 12 pax, 3 other meeting rooms, archives, reception, individual office spaces, kitchen/pantry, IT room/server spaces, toilets. Finishing time: August, 2015. g. Construction of Factory building for AQUA FOODS INDUSTRIES Ltd. At Gazipur. Total area of 3000 sqm. constructed with steel structure. § Design and interior decoration along with landscaping for the 9 storied industrial complex for Youngones Bangladesh Ltd. knitting and dying factory in steel structure fabrication with Korean collaboration at Gazipura in Gazipur district near Dhaka. The project is located beside the main highway of Dhaka-Mymensingh road in the Gazipur district. Area of this factory is approximately 45,000 sft per floor and the office area is 1200 sqm per floor with 9 floors for the office space of Viyellatex. § Design coordination & execution supervision of Convention Center-2 for Bashundhara Group at Bashundhara R/A, Dhaka with an area of 4,000 sqm of steel construction & fabrication completed by BBS. § Design of Ad Deen Eye Hospital for Bashundhara Group at Bashundhara R/A. The responsibility was design and meeting with the client and incorporating the comment into design decision. The project was completed in 2010. |
